Custom Hotwheels Toyota Supra

Gold Toyota Supra

This car was originally released as part of the Fast and Furious range of Hotwheels

One of my personal favourites, this custom Hotwheels Supra was originally gold in colour so all I did was remove the tampos (decals) and add my own new ones.
I also swapped the wheels for these awesome gold real riders.

Can I just say.. Dayummm!

Stanced Datsun 510 Wagon

The Car That Started a Riot

Before this Datsun 510 Wagon Mainline was released the Hotwheels world seemed fairly oblivious to the term JDM. I remember being able to buy Skyline GTR32s for $10 each and Datsun 510 sedans for a fiver!
And then this mainline came out and everyone lost their freaking minds! What the?!
Now as a customiser and long time JDM aficionado I was lucky enough to find around 10 of these wagons. So no greedy hoarder bastards, you can take your $15 asking price and shove it up your blister pack.

Where was I? Sorry about that - hate greedy hoarders who buy up all the good JDM stuff even though the had to look up what it meant the week before. No respect.

My Custom Hotwheels Datsun 510 Wagon

This wagon was given a basic wheel swap and then the axles were bent and the car, well I squished it for lack of a better term  LOL. I then detailed the headlights and rear view mirror to complete the transformation. She now sits hellaflush and hella sweet :)

Let's be honest, you don't have to do too much to this already gorgeous casting.

Add a diorama backdrop and some camera filtering and hey presto :)
All shots were taken with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Crap phone, awesome camera.

And the car that inspired/started it all...

Fast and Furious Drag Race in 1:64 Scale

Dom's Charger Vs. Brian's Supra

In the spirit of good fun, and to celebrate the awesomeness that is the Fast and Furious franchise (gee say that 5 times quickly) I decided to reenact the drag race between Brian and Dom.

Luckily for them there is no train track on my diorama shelf ;)

RIP Paul Walker

Hellaflush Honda S2K

Stanced Honda S2K Riding Custom Deep Dish Wheels

This mainline Honda S2000 from Hotwheels looks great in the Tein livery and as such I didnt want to do too much to it.
Basically I colour coded the bumper and underbody in white and then added the wheels... Those wheels!?!...

Those Wheels are So Damn HellaSweet!

It probably helps that the wheels I put on this Honda were custom made deep dish wheels that gave it that perfectly stanced look. Winning!
Side note: I did made the front axles slightly too short so the offset wasnt right. Not Happy Jan!
I have since corrected this and... actually I have since added new wheels that are just... OMG! Love

Keep you posted. Here's the beautifully stanced S2K. (excuse the horrible offset on the front)

BTTF Delorean Hovers into my 1:64 Scale Diecast World

Back to the Future - Diecast Style

When Hotwheels released the new mainline Back to the Future Delorean in Hover mode I was wrapped! First of all I had to find the thing - man that was near impossible. No wait, it was impossible!
I was forced to buy my hovers through eBay or a Facebook group or something (cant remember which) - but anyway, the point is moot really isnt it.

Hello? McFly!?

I should probably just get straight to the point here... so I took a qtip and drilled a tiny hole in the base of the delorean and then I removed a light pole from my diorama and stuck the QTip and the delorean in there.
My first and original intention was to try and capture the delorean at such an angle that it looked like it was hovering, and I  think I achieved that here....

Do you agree? kinda yeah but no sorta what...?!!?

Just in the interest of a good story, here are the images before I photochopped the Q-Tip out.

Add a Sprinkling of Photoshop..

and Hey presto, you have the Delorean in all it's glory.
I removed the Qtip but also added lights under the delorean to make it look a little more authentic.

Came out nice!

Custom Dukes of Hazzard Diecast General Lee in 1:64 scale

Custom Dairy Delivery and '69 Dodge Charger

Introiducing the General Lee himself and what I have dubbed 'Daisy Delivery'

This standard HotWheels mainline is known as the Dairy Delivery and has a great shape and casting to it. The 1969 Dodge Charger however needs no introduction ;)

I think the Duke boys would be proud.

This also made the Lamley Customs Blog feature - my first of many but something I had always aspired to... GO ME!

Remember to check out My Custom Hotwheels and Diecast website for all the latest customs and how to guides from a world in diecast and 1:64 scale

JDM Celica TA22

Who says you need to 'Paint' a HotWheels

Wanted to keep the tampos (livery) in place so I used an Artline 700 Permanent marker to turn what was once red into this black Celica TA22
